Christmas is Over
How many things did you take back? How many trips to the mall have you already made? How many cookies did you eat? Christmas has come and gone and now we are in those fun days between Christmas and New Years. I pray that your Christmas was a spectacular time of fun and fellowship with friends and family. Now your starting to turn your thoughts to that new fitness machine you got for Christmas and how starting January 1 you are going to turn yourself into a fitness expert,.....but for now.....you get another cookie. So many parties, so little time.As we head into the new year, I challenge you to take some time to look back over 2008. Think about your successes and your failures. What did you do right, what mistakes did you make? What can you learn from the past year? What would you do different?
In 2009 determine to learn from your history. 2008 was a difficult year for all of us, but guess what? We are still here! We are still standing! We all have some areas to shore up and strengthen, but we can do it. Make up in your mind...."When January 1 gets here, I am going to another level".
Let's strengthen one another and believe that 09 is going to be the year of growth for all of us.
If God be for us who can be against us!

Pastor Young, I'm so glad to see what the Lord is doing in Delicias. There are so many more doors that are opening as we speak - or as I write hehehe. Sister Luz is an awesome lady. I got to meet her about a month ago. I'm sure as you have found out, they are so hungry for the P.A.S.T.O.R.S Course. She wants me to go teach it to them. Our vision in Phoenix for Delicias is for it to become the training center for Mexico. Out of all the other ministries that we have invested ourselves in, Delicias has been the most faithfull. Pastor Vazquez and I are such Wilsonites like you wouldn't believe. "helping people become" helped me to get a job here in Phoenix jejejeje - thats the Spanish way of hehehe on the net... I used that during my interview as my motto - helping people become.
Has the priest been baptized in Jesus' Name yet? I know that he got the Holy Ghost.

Doing the Evangelist Thing!
Keep me in your prayers this week. I am flying to Fayetteville, North Carolina to preach a "Tent Revival" for some of my long time dear friends. Pastor Robert & Lisa Mitchell are now leading the great church that was established by Elder Jesse Williams. I am thrilled to be going. This will be my first time to preach in the lovely state of North Carolina. I am also excited because I am taking London with me. She will turn 14 while we are with the Mitchells. MAN, I AM GETTING OLD! MY LITTLE BABY IS GROWING UP (LONDON, DON'T FORGET TO TELL THEM UGLY BOYS "YOUR DADDY HAS A SHOTGUN!")By the way, Ben Vandiver is going to be there on the weekend and together we are going to work with the choir for a big music set on Sunday. It is going to be a blast!
Fayetteville, lets have revival!

Liberia Revival
Bro BJ Wilmoth just returned today from Liberia. I spoke with him briefly. He was pumped up! 152 people received the Holy Ghost at the conference he preached. Some incredible things took place. Lord willing he is going to check in and give us a "KINGDOM" report after he gets over his jet-lag. Pray for the Stewarts as they continue to lead the revival in Liberia. Samoa needs a Savior
I was thrilled to be invited to go preach a crusade in Samoa. What an incredible place. The only thing more beautiful than the island was the Samoans themselves. They treated me with love and acceptance and received the word of God gladly. Dr. Baumeister and I had the time of our lives. It was a great crusade and many were filled with the Holy Ghost. I look forward to going back soon. Bro & Sis Blunt have invited me back sometime so I would love for some of you to go with us for another crusade. I am working trying to get on the radio in Samoa (God may be working something out) so keep Samoa in your prayers.I filmed a "God Quest 2" video while we were there. You will get to see the country as well as some the results of revival breaking out. Just click on The Rock Church link and you can watch the clip. There is a great need in Samoa for property and a building. Maybe God will speak to someone that views the web-site.

"Innovate"
MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUT THE "INNOVATE" LINK. This is going to be a great time. Let all of your music friends know. I really think that "Innovate" could be come one of the most influential music venues in America. This is the first year and already so many have pre-registered. It is not too late to hook with "Innovate", just click on the link below. Check it out (turn your volume up, there is a great song playing).Labels: apostolic, ben vandiver, bishop wilson, elk grove, innovate conference, Liberia, pentecostal, revival, rock church
My Sunday Worship
Well Sunday has come and gone. The choir robes are back in the closet, the sound and lights are turned off, the church is dark and silent and another week has begun. So what did you glean from your worship experience? Did you just go through the routine of church as usual? Did you encounter God today? Did the Spirit give you direction? Did you recognize the call of the Spirit? Or was it just another Sunday where you went to church, sang a few songs, heard a sermon, then went and ate with friends? How many of us really touched heaven on Sunday? What if God was providing something we needed to carry us through the week? How sad would it be to have made all the efforts to go to church but never receive what God had for us. This week make it a priority, next Sunday I am going to touch God and God is going to touch me, then watch how much better your week will be.Labels: apostolic, c myles young, elk grove, revival, rock church, sacramento

Love the website! Finally a website from The Rock Church that will be updated on a regular basis! There are so many of "us" out here longing for any tidbits, sermonettes, songs, photos, services, etc. anything from The Rock Church!!
Your latest entry is so true. You get out of church just what you put in to it...It took me quite awhile to realize that it isnt the people on the platform that supply your needs...they are simply the messengers. It took me so long to get past what they were (or werent) wearing, how they looked, and if it wasnt said just right. If you focus on Him, He will supply what you need, when you need it! If you worship Him, He will bless you for it.
Too many people go to church waiting to be entertained...well that may happen, but you will leave just as empty as you came.
Would love to see more services, photos, songs, etc. added to the website (realize this is quite a process).
Anyway...thank you for taking the time to blog...I'm sure you needed something else added to your list of things to do...as you are jumping off the cliff...people are so funny!

A Flying Leap
Lately I have received advice from several people concerning my ministry. I have been told that I am trying to be like the Amish and that I am throwing my ministry off the cliff. I am quite sure that their advice was offered in sincere love and concern so I thought this picture was fitting for the occasion. Hope this makes you smile a little. Lets not take ourselves so serious.Labels: apostolic, bishop wilson, c myles young, elk grove, pentecostal, revival, rock church, sacramento

Pastor B J Wilmoth goes to Liberia
Hey everybody my man B J Wilmoth is in Liberia. He is preaching a convention and doing some very exciting investigative work on a whole new open door of ministry in Africa. He is going to be meeting with a key leader of a large church that recently visited TRC. Send some prayer coverage up for him and his crusade team as they minister in Africa. I believe that Africa is ripe for the biggest apostolic revival in the history of the world. This is only the beginning. Bro Wilmoth is going to be checking in with me while he is there and I will be posting the results of what God is up to there in Liberia.
