God's Goodness
I am sitting at starbucks in the beautiful Sierra Mountains with London (my daughter). This is the last week before school for both my kids so we are enjoying some much needed family time. As I look up at the majestic mountains at "Heavenly" to my right and beautiful Lake Tahoe down below, I can't help but think of how blessed I am.Labels: boston young, c myles young, holy ghost, lake tahoe, London Young, LSU, sierra nevada mountains, starbucks

Pastor Young, I'm so glad to see what the Lord is doing in Delicias. There are so many more doors that are opening as we speak - or as I write hehehe. Sister Luz is an awesome lady. I got to meet her about a month ago. I'm sure as you have found out, they are so hungry for the P.A.S.T.O.R.S Course. She wants me to go teach it to them. Our vision in Phoenix for Delicias is for it to become the training center for Mexico. Out of all the other ministries that we have invested ourselves in, Delicias has been the most faithfull. Pastor Vazquez and I are such Wilsonites like you wouldn't believe. "helping people become" helped me to get a job here in Phoenix jejejeje - thats the Spanish way of hehehe on the net... I used that during my interview as my motto - helping people become.
Has the priest been baptized in Jesus' Name yet? I know that he got the Holy Ghost.

Exhausted!
I feel like I have been run over by a truck. 16 services in 9 days has left me exhausted. The tent revival went incredible in Fayetteville. Can you say 95 degrees and 80% humidity? In spite of the heat the tent was full every night. We had a blast with the Mitchell's and prayed several through to the Holy Ghost. Thank you to all of you wonderful people from "First Church" you truly know how to take care of people.Labels: c myles young, don lance, Fayetteville, First Church, freedom week, holy ghost, robbie mitchell, san jose, tent revival

Bells & Whistles
On mother's day I took my wife and mother-in-law to a nice restaurant downtown. We were having a great time enjoying the atmosphere, food and ambiance when suddenly the fire alarm went off and the emergency lights started flashing. It went on for 10 minutes or so, until the fire department showed up. They climbed down from their trucks, dressed to fight a fire. During all the noise people who were passing by started peeking in the windows to see what was going on. There was a great amount of activity and noise, but THERE WAS NO FIRE! It was all just bells & whistles!Labels: bells, c myles young, fire, God, holy ghost, mothers day, rock church, sacramento, whistles

CONFRONTATION
I woke this morning and read that one candidate for office stated that scriptural account of creation is unable to stand up to scientific inquiry. I had not even had my coffee yet, so it didn't set real well with me. How have we become so arrogant? We profess ourselves to be wise but we reveal how foolish we really are. I couldn't help but wonder this morning what God would say in his interview of such "gobblety-gook". Somehow I want him to say something like, "Such hubris doesn't measure up to Godly inquiry". If I was God I probably would say "Get a life" or something real juvenile that would reveal my inadequacy for the "Ruler of the Cosmos" position. But after coffee & prayer & study of the word, I think I heard him whisper something about "love" and "whosoever will". Isn't it amazing that God just keeps on loving and reaching in spite of our resistance, ignorance and arrogant self-promotion. Throughout our lives this week we will encounter co-workers, fellow-students, friends and family who may espouse similar beliefs of such statements that filled the web this morning. Often I want to lash out at such nonsense, but today in study and contemplation I felt a desire to "love" and reach with "compassion" to those that do not understand what the Spirit of God has revealed to me as a believer. I do not have to defend the Bible. I am supposed to "live" out the scripture. Labels: c myles young, candidate, confrontation, holy ghost

Nicely written Bro. Young. I work in an institution of higher education and also am a graduate student. Dealing with the mindset in this environment makes it a continual challenge to "hold my peace, and the let the Lord fight my (or rather his) battles.":) God has worked so incredibly on my campus though and still is; it is a living testimony to your statement regarding how we do not have to "defend the bible," but simply live out the scripture.
However, on the carnal side, sometimes one just wants to reply with something extremely insulting or inane. It's an exercise in self-control while pluggin' on and letting God do his thing. :)
Thanks for sharing this reminder.

Great post Pastor Young. This world is full of so much hate ,pride & worldly ambition. It is no wonder we have people in high offices in this county(founded as "One Nation under God") that disregard God as our creator. But, as you stated, God is love, therefore we are commanded to love. Love truly conquers all. That is why God is sooooooo awesome & will forevermore remain the King of all Kings . Hallelujah..thank you Jesus for your unconditional love towards us.

NO LIMITS
Well, No Limits has come and gone. It was a spectacular time of God's glory and presence. I encourage you if you were unable to attend go to our web-site and watch the archives. God spoke to us in so many ways. "Innovate" was awesome and many of those that registered stayed over for No Limits. It was our biggest year ever. Each night we set attendance records. We are really excited about the future. To those of you that came we hope that you were as blessed to be here as we were blessed that you came. Cry of Lost Humanity
Can you hear the cry of a lost and dying world? Grab your wrist and feel your pulse...with every beat of your heart another soul dies and enters eternity, never hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ. My soul is heavy this morning as a read the news and check my email. Everyone is busy in the kingdom but how many have we really saved from hell. Pastor Young,
Very good post. As I adjust to a new church and a new life I feel that sometimes I can lose focus on what my purpose is. Winning souls can be difficult when the flesh says I am tired, someone else can take care of them, I admit that those thoughts have come over me more than once, but all I have to do is remember where those nail scarred hands pulled me from, and what Jesus has done for me in the last three years. I respect you alot Pastor Young, I haven't had much time to get to know you, but the time that you have spent talking with my wife and I is appreciated. I am excited to be a member at TRC, and look forward to the rest of 2008!
May God bless you, and your family . Love, you brother in Christ, Jason "the good" Pontius - Kari Morgan said...

Wow...should have read this BEFORE Thursday night...anyhow, I posted a little bit about No Limits on my blog but wanted to be sure you and Sheila, Nanny and Bishop read it before your trip...
..."As each and every helper was acknowledged, I could not help but think to myself that yes, it takes an incredible church body to fulfill the required tasks however, unless the head that turns the neck of the body is engaged with annointing and power nothing would be accomplished. Bishop and Sis. Wilson, Pastor and Sis. Young, YOU are the ones who deserve the standing ovation of gratitude and appreciation for building such a church as TRC and allowing the saints of the most High to be become capable enough to follow your leading and passion for the cause of not only No Limits but also for continuing to fulfill the purpose of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. I LOVE my leadership immensely, I admire them wholeheartedly and I desire to be like them in every aspect that I can. So let it be known...I stand one hundred and fifty percent behind the leadership of TRC...what more could anyone ask for? Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so true. I love you."
We love you guys...we'll be praying for you during your big journey to the Holy Land!!!

Liberia Revival
Bro BJ Wilmoth just returned today from Liberia. I spoke with him briefly. He was pumped up! 152 people received the Holy Ghost at the conference he preached. Some incredible things took place. Lord willing he is going to check in and give us a "KINGDOM" report after he gets over his jet-lag. Pray for the Stewarts as they continue to lead the revival in Liberia.
