Alabama, Here I Come!

Eva/Cullman Pentecostals - www.mylesyoung.comWell, It has been a while since I posted anything on my blog. I am sure you have struggled through in my absence! LOL! To all my friends in Alabama, I am headed your way. I am pumped about being a part of the Dedicatory celebration in Cullman, Alabama. Pastor Greg Wilbanks and the Eva/Cullman Pentecostals have recently completed an incredibly, beautiful new sanctuary and I am privileged to be one of the speakers at the dedication. I look forward to seeing all of you that are able to join us. I am thrilled to be headed to "Bama" (that's big coming from an LSU boy!).

p.s. I am taking my bow, pray I get a "bama-buck"!

NO LIMITS 09

No Limits 09 - www.mylesyoung.com
Man, I am exhausted! NO LIMITS 09 has come and gone but will live forever in our hearts and memories. It was a great time of fellowship and God visiting with us. Every speaker did an outstanding job. There was a very common thread throughout the conference that God was trying to get us to expand and change the way we think. It is time to increase our faith and really believe that God can do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ask or even think. In spite of the terrible circumstances that are re-shaping our world, there is a great revival in the church and a tremendous harvest to be reached. To all of you that were here with us, thank you for coming. To our speakers thank you for lending your anointing for at least a little while, we are forever indebted to you.

I am planning on the project being released soon after the first of the year, so we are going to work quickly on the post-production. I think you will love the new material. COMING HOME

Jazz Jubilee in Sacramento Airport - Pastor C Myles YoungIt had been quite a trip. A short-tempered ticket agent, long security lines made longer now that I have to go through additional screening since I have this bionic knee implant. Then we sat on the tarmac for an hour in the heat. Whew! What a flight! Finally, we landed in the fertile valley that is my home. I gathered my things, exited the plane and headed down the escalator to wait for my luggage at the carousel. Nearing the ground floor of baggage claim I heard the melodious sounds of a live jazz band. Suddenly, my day changed, I made my way toward the music and there to my surprise and pleasure was a jazz band from Hungary that is in town for the annual Jazz Jubilee. My spirits were lifted. I looked around at weary travelers with goofy grins on their faces as we forgot about our bags and were lost in the music of the moment. As I tore myself away, I muttered to myself...."It's good to be home". Now I am back in one of my favorite coffee houses and I am thinking about people coming back home. The scripture says that heaven rejoices when a sinner comes back home. I can almost hear them playing now. Think about the weariness of those life travelers that have been away from God for so long. Only God knows what they have had to go through to get back. I say we need to strike up the band and let the songs of celebration ring out so sweetly that they forget all the baggage they brought with them. I know, we still have stuff to take care of and bags to unpack and to put back in order, but for a little while let's enjoy the music.
(Just some musings from a minstrel who's feeling kinda sappy tonight)

Bells & Whistles

Bells and Whistles - Myles Young BlogOn mother's day I took my wife and mother-in-law to a nice restaurant downtown. We were having a great time enjoying the atmosphere, food and ambiance when suddenly the fire alarm went off and the emergency lights started flashing. It went on for 10 minutes or so, until the fire department showed up. They climbed down from their trucks, dressed to fight a fire. During all the noise people who were passing by started peeking in the windows to see what was going on. There was a great amount of activity and noise, but THERE WAS NO FIRE! It was all just bells & whistles!
Revelation 3:1 gives us the account of God speaking to the church at Sardis. He told them that he knew their works. He said "You have a reputation for being alive, but really you're dead". The church at Sardis had a reputation for life but it was all "bells & whistles". There was a whole lot of activity, noise and even a crowd was coming to see, but there was no fire, no life, no real accomplishment.
God help us to not get so good at "doing church" that it becomes just bells & whistles. Busy with running programs but no life giving spirit in our midst.
Let's get back to what makes the fire fall. Let's not live off a reputation but God help us to walk in the reality of the Holy Ghost.

From The Grand to the Grind

The Grind - Pastor Myles Young BlogWell, my traveling days are over for a while. No Limits, Israel, France, Canada, Branson...all these foreign countries have me worn out. It is good to be home. Back to normal life. Well, as normal as my life ever is. We sometimes say "Back to the grind" with a negative bent, but I am not feeling any negativity right now. It is good to be back doing the daily work that makes the kingdom of God expand. The conferences, the crusades, the world-changing events only exist because of "daily faithfulness". I believe that the hope of the world is the "local church". The daily stuff is not near as fun as all of the high profile things that we want to be a part of. Peter was in one of those "cool" mountain-top events and wanted to stay and build 3 temples to dwell in, but Jesus said "No....lets head back down to where real life is...." This is where real ministry takes place, in the everyday existence of faithful obedience.
If you are frustrated because nothing glorious or invigorating is happening to you, just keep being faithful and the "grand things" have a way of showing up.

NO LIMITS

No Limits 08 - C Myles Young BlogWell, No Limits has come and gone. It was a spectacular time of God's glory and presence. I encourage you if you were unable to attend go to our web-site and watch the archives. God spoke to us in so many ways. "Innovate" was awesome and many of those that registered stayed over for No Limits. It was our biggest year ever. Each night we set attendance records. We are really excited about the future. To those of you that came we hope that you were as blessed to be here as we were blessed that you came.

Thank God for 90 Native Missionaries being sponsored on Thursday night in Uganda, Liberia, Mexico, El Salvador... THE FUTURE IS HERE.

Well, I don't have much time to rest because I leave tonight for Israel. I am so pumped (I have never been). I am going to film GOD QUEST - ISRAEL (should be fun). I don't know if I will have access to a computer while I am gone, if so I will post. If not I will be in touch when I return.

Pray someone through to the Holy Ghost while I am gone. God bless.

Samoa needs a Savior

The beautiful islands of SamoaI was thrilled to be invited to go preach a crusade in Samoa. What an incredible place. The only thing more beautiful than the island was the Samoans themselves. They treated me with love and acceptance and received the word of God gladly. Dr. Baumeister and I had the time of our lives. It was a great crusade and many were filled with the Holy Ghost. I look forward to going back soon. Bro & Sis Blunt have invited me back sometime so I would love for some of you to go with us for another crusade. I am working trying to get on the radio in Samoa (God may be working something out) so keep Samoa in your prayers.
I filmed a "God Quest 2" video while we were there. You will get to see the country as well as some the results of revival breaking out. Just click on The Rock Church link and you can watch the clip. There is a great need in Samoa for property and a building. Maybe God will speak to someone that views the web-site.

My Sunday Worship

Worship at The Rock Church - Sacramento, CA Well Sunday has come and gone. The choir robes are back in the closet, the sound and lights are turned off, the church is dark and silent and another week has begun. So what did you glean from your worship experience? Did you just go through the routine of church as usual? Did you encounter God today? Did the Spirit give you direction? Did you recognize the call of the Spirit? Or was it just another Sunday where you went to church, sang a few songs, heard a sermon, then went and ate with friends? How many of us really touched heaven on Sunday? What if God was providing something we needed to carry us through the week? How sad would it be to have made all the efforts to go to church but never receive what God had for us. This week make it a priority, next Sunday I am going to touch God and God is going to touch me, then watch how much better your week will be.

A Flying Leap

Flying Leap Amish Airlines - The Rock ChurchLately I have received advice from several people concerning my ministry. I have been told that I am trying to be like the Amish and that I am throwing my ministry off the cliff. I am quite sure that their advice was offered in sincere love and concern so I thought this picture was fitting for the occasion. Hope this makes you smile a little. Lets not take ourselves so serious.

Pastor B J Wilmoth goes to Liberia

LiberiaHey everybody my man B J Wilmoth is in Liberia. He is preaching a convention and doing some very exciting investigative work on a whole new open door of ministry in Africa. He is going to be meeting with a key leader of a large church that recently visited TRC. Send some prayer coverage up for him and his crusade team as they minister in Africa. I believe that Africa is ripe for the biggest apostolic revival in the history of the world. This is only the beginning. Bro Wilmoth is going to be checking in with me while he is there and I will be posting the results of what God is up to there in Liberia.

Priscilla McGruder

Keep Priscilla in your prayers. The doctors reports look grim but somehow I hear someone singing "What once look like a mountains just a hill, from heaven's point of view" and "It aint over till its over". If you have ever been blessed by this singing family then spend a little extra time around the throne for their sake.

Tornado in Tennessee

Please join with me in prayer for Rev Donald & Bridgette Lance. Their church was destroyed last night by the tornado that struck Jackson, Tennessee. He and his family were in the church with 3 other families when the tornado struck. They are ok but he is asking for us to pray that God would give him direction on how to lead his congregation through this devastating time. His faith is high but keep them in your prayers. I believe God is going to use this terrible event to somehow grow his kingdom.
